Joe and Leah

  Congratulations
Joe & Leah
March 7th, 2014
 At The Canterbury

We were so excited to be apart of making your special day unforgettable!!!

For their wedding, an elegant formal sit down dinner was served to family and friends immediately after the couple said their vows.
We had the opportunity to create romantic florals using fresh pink and peach roses, lilies, hydrangeas, and baby's breath set atop large mercury vases laced with asparagus ferns and greenery. White lanterns filled with candles added to the tablescapes on cream linens with grey burlap runners.  Ceiling draping and lighting finished the look; creating an elegant, magical setting for a reception.

Weddings, Weddings and a Birthday Event!

Celebration Event  80th  Birthday Party Bash!!!

Congrats to Bonnie ~80 Years Young~ Happy Birthday

Garden Gate Vintage has been extremely busy planning weddings, events, fundraisers and celebrations. We have been so busy in fact, that we have been negligent in our blogging! Shame, shame. We are going to do better, we promise. Better late than never though, so we've decided to post some highlights of our past events.  Drum roll please...........

We had a very special celebration honoring a woman in our lives who turned 80 years young. That special woman is my mother, and Stacie's mother-in-law, Bonnie. And Oh, What an event! We were able to gather grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers, aunts, and uncles to honor this wonderful woman who has brought such joy and comfort to our lives. Bonnie is a very generous woman. She is out-going, strong, charismatic, and serves not only her family, but her community. We all love her dearly.

Garden Gate Vintage was able to pull out all stops for this celebration because this group of people (family) really like to PAR-TAY! Not in the way you might imagine. What I'm talking about here is pulling out the creativity; good food, music, fun and costumes. Yes costumes (part of our inventory)! There is something about donning costumes and guess what? Everyone's inhibitions go out the window! CRAZY FUN TIME! We had our very own 80's Disco Party for this 80 year old.We all shook our groove-thang and cut loose, Donna Summers style, disco mirror ball included.

We just wanted you to be aware that Garden Gate Vintage can orchestrate a variety of events and parties just about any where and any place. This party was held in a big hanger/garage next to beautiful Bear Lake, Idaho. So if you have a special event or family reunion coming up, remember-  Garden Gate Events. We know how to shake up your next birthday celebration with FUN and CRAZY-in a really good way. Give us a call.

~uniquely yours~ leave the details to us!

Here's some pictures from this birthday party

SURPRISE GRAM!

We booked the infamous Hawaiian Fire Dancers for the grand finale. These talented dancers just so happened to be Bonnie's grandsons. No worries, we do have connections with the real deal Hawaiian Dancers when you decide to throw your own Luau party. Promise!

They were pretty good!
The party girl looks a bit concerned!

Thanks family for the fun time. Special thanks to Bruce and Stacie for hosting such a memorable event. And a very big THANKS to our wonderful Mom, Grammy, and matriarch of our family- beautiful Bonnie! We love you.

Alexandra and Spencer at McCune Mansion

Congratulations to Alex and Spencer

who tied the knot on a most gorgeous evening
 September, 21st, 2013
at the McCune Mansion, in Salt Lake City, Utah

Garden Gate Vintage had the opportunity to help design the flowers and create tablescapes. We then added some additional  romance to the "already beautiful" interiors of the mansion.
Here's a peek inside the McCune Mansion and their spectacular wedding event.
.
The mansion has so many beautiful rooms. The ceremony was held in the front parlor (pictured above) Notice the gorgeous detailing; crown molding, ceilings and chandeliers.

Dining tables were set throughout the main floor for the reception. The upstairs rooms were reserved for cake cutting, drinks and dancing the night away; most appropriately in the ballroom.
Imagine all the parties held in this mansion, and the many guests that attended since 1901,
when the home was completed. Oh if these walls could talk!

Foyer Entrance and Sign-in Table

Beautiful woodwork and staircase leading to the upstairs ballroom and master suites.
The McCune Mansion has a to die for Bride's room. It's the former bedroom suite of  Mrs. McCune. The view overlooks downtown and the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
And what a view it is! No worries, the Groom's room ain't so shabby either.

Alexandra chose a simple three tiered cream cake on natural log slates. Simple, but so elegant!

Of course we had to bring in our vintage pink Cadillac for the couple's grand exit when it was time to say goodnight to their guests. Looking good you two. Details, details, details!

Stunningly Gorgeous Bride Alex

Because the mansion has such opulence and glamour, Alex wanted the tablescape design to be simple, not overstated. We used a variety of  bud vases in amber, green and clear filled with wild flowers, dusty miller and roses. We added votive candles, fun photos and viola! Beautiful elegance.

The outdoor gardens is where the wedding party gathered after the ceremony for photos and congrats.
Couples can chose to be married inside the mansion or outside on the spacious grounds. Either way you can't go wrong. It's also nice to have the option in case of inclement weather.

Alex and Spencer...

We wish you all the happiness you deserve. Thank you for allowing Garden Gate Vintage the opportunity to help make your special day even more SPECIAL! Be happy. Congrats...and love to you both.
